Gourdi Gras
There is usually some sort of cooking contest at the Office Job
to celebrate holidays. But COVID put a stop to that.
So, this year, the task was to decorate a pumpkin.
Challenge accepted.

Then it was silent
It's just after sunset when I get to my parents' house. The house sits on farmland, several miles from the nearest town. The sky is still blue, turning orange, and nearly cloudless when I arrive and find my father standing in the driveway, awaiting my visit.

It's been a week.
Unless you've buried your head for the past couple months,

Quarantine Nation
Well, unless you live in a cave in a remote part of the
Appalachian Mountain region, you're aware of the current pandemic.
We all just need to stay in place, and not make things worse.
So we need to do some stuff so we don't go bonkers.

Voodoo Lily
I had a wind ensemble concert today, but before I had to be
at the hall, I made a trip to Rock Island to visit the QC Botanical Center.
I wanted to see, and smell, the voodoo lily!

February is a month that happens
So, we made it through February.
A bit of radio silence on my end.
Dealing with the emotional fall out due to a poor decision on my part,
and just getting through the winter months.
