If you've been reading posts recently, you are aware of the house remodeling project.
This post is for those interested in the details.
If you aren't, keep on keeping on and I'll see you later, gator.

Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut

Near modern day Luxor is where Thebes, or ancient Waset, was located.
It is the former capital city of Egypt throughout the New Kingdom (c.1570-c.1069BC)
And it's where you'll find the Valley of the Kings.

Houses of the gods

There are temples all along the River Nile.
Egyptian temples were places to worship the gods, but they
were also considered to be where the gods lived.
So, if a god were to live there, it had better be exceptional.

Into Zimbabwe

Bright and early, before the sun rose, we packed up camp and
headed to the Zimbabwe border.
Our guide had decided for us to be there very early because sometimes
it can take a long time to get through border control and he didn't want
to lose a lot of time.

Freakin Elf

Last week I played in the pit orchestra for a production of
Elf: The Musical

It is, apparently, based upon the 2003 movie, Elf.
Which until a week go, I'd not ever seen.
I can usually suspend belief a bit for stage shows,
it is, after all, just a show, and the rules don't really apply.
However, this show has many plot-holes that I couldn't ignore.
So, I present you, a numbered list of every plot-hole
that drove me batty over the course of the run of this production.

Grand Unified Conspiracy Theory

After many weeks of listening to just about all I can
stand of conspiracy/mystery radio, I have finally been able to
put everything together.

I hope I didn't miss anything.

It's a conspiracy, I tells ya!

Recently I was looking for some good scary stories to
listen to while at work.
It's Halloween, so I was in the mood for some spookiness.
Though, to be fair, I'm usually in the mood for spookiness.

Then it was silent

It's just after sunset when I get to my parents' house. The house sits on farmland, several miles from the nearest town. The sky is still blue, turning orange, and nearly cloudless when I arrive and find my father standing in the driveway, awaiting my visit.

Ver las ballenas - Addendum

We head back into civilization.

Farewells to the sea and the whales.
We have to go back.
But, first, a few more things.
