Yosemite National Park - Part 3

 Day 3

After packing up the tents, having some breakfast and coffee, and cleaning up
the campsite, we all pack into the van for our last day in Yosemite.

We learn a bit about the forest fires.
Generally, some fires are good for the forest, clearing off nuisance growths and
restoring nutrients to the ground.
Some fires are bad and do a lot of damage, not just to the trees, but
to the wildlife that lives in them.

Let's take a hike.

Almost there...

FrontSeat Shark!

Probably my favorite hike of our trip.
Looking down in the Valley.

El Cap from above.

There were a couple people playing on a slack line attached between the parts of the ledge.

A few final views. This was Glacier Point, I think, where a squirrel
stole a map from someone in our group.
(He managed to get the map back from the thieving varmint)

Only you can prevent forest fires.
Don't make Smokey the Bear angry.
You wouldn't like him when he's angry!

Never got tired of seeing these. :^)

One last look at El Capitan

Before leaving the valley, we made a stop at a convenience store.
I love trying local delicacies when travelling, so I picked up this ice cream treat.
I don't know what It is, but this is IT!
Oatmeal cookies, made into a sandwich with ice cream in the middle,
then coated in chocolate.
It sure is yummy!

We return to San Fran as the fog is rolling in.
It was a wonderful trip.
