So Beautiful, So What

Control your pulp, man!
What are you? an animal?!

I had an abundance of oranges leftover from the Band Frooting.
I'm not in the habit of eating oranges.
So, after a quick Googling, I found an inexpensive juicer near me available to buy now.

I juiced and I juiced the pile of aging oranges and came away
with this much tasty fresh orange juice.
I then cleaned and reboxed the juicer and stored it away in the cupboard to
use again when I find myself overrun with oranges I can't eat fast enough.

Hey, look!
It's Bobcat Goldthwait!
I loved the Police Academy movies when I was younger.
And I remember being fascinated and bewildered by
the man who sort of yelled everything he said.

He performed two sets at the local casino, so a friend
and I got tickets to see his act.

He has a lot of funny stories from his life in show business and was very entertaining.
Good times.

Working my way through a stack of books that I'm clearing out of my
bookshelves. Just finished this book about Paul Simon, who I saw in 2011.

sushi tacos from a local fusion restaurant.
Tasty!

Aaah, freshly made bed.
A Pendleton quilt and fuzzy throw is just about all I need
in the attic space loft bedroom. Heat rises, so my bedroom is usually
warm enough over the winter months, and almost too warm
in the summer.
I have developed cooling strategies for the space that seem to work.
Observe the dream catcher for catching the occasional nightmare.

Got my permanent crown installed into my face.
It feels so much better than the temporary one.
It has since settled in and feels almost exactly like my old tooth.
Now I just need to take care of it so it will stay there
for a long time without anymore problems.

I'm no stranger to postmodern philosophy, but this one is
kind of a brick wall. It's going to take a while to break into it.
I tracked down a copy of its "prequel" so maybe that will help.

A Thousand Plateaus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia
Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari

A 5-star Goodreads review of this book is, as follows, and I quote:

"I hate this fucking book" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Maybe it makes more sense in the original French?

A night at the theater to see the touring production of
The Book of Mormon.
A friend is the music director, so I had to catch the show.
It's pretty funny, in the way that SouthPark is funny.
Because it was written by the guys who write SouthPark.
Not quite Cannibal! The Musical, but it's entertaining.
😂

Happy Easter

the parents came up for Easter lunch, and I broke out the kite.
I've had this little kite for a long time. Back in college, I worked in
a local toy shop and bought the kite, and have forgotten about it
ever since. It was windy enough to take it out for a flight. Fun!

Another thing I'd forgotten about.
This is Chicken, a cockatiel.
It is a representative of a web comic called Chicken Thoughts.
Months ago, the artist had a plushie campaign to raise money
to donate to a parrot sanctuary.
I don't need a new plushie, but I thought this one was cute,
and supported a good cause, so I threw in my order and
promptly forgot all about it.
Then this arrived in the mail; and it's soft and adorable.
The bell on its head is attached by velcro, and so can be taken off.
Some birds like to wear the little bells as hats. LOL

The new rock band had its public debut at an open mic night.
No trainwrecks, so I guess we're not fired.

And yet another gig for me two days later. It's been
a very busy week. Back into the dance jobs with the quartet/trio.

For Christmas, I had given Momster tickets to the ZZ Top/Lynyrd Skynrd show
in Moline, IL. Between the gigs and the jazz jams, we went to the show.

Drummer for Skynyrd was wearing a Bowie shirt!

Sharp dressed simple man.

 Stay shiny, Antelopes!
